TAGSI–FESI Symposium 2016

TWI Conference Centre, Granta Park, Cambridge, UK

April 26–27, 2016

The 2016 TAGSI-FESI Symposium draws on the work of TAGSI undertaken on behalf of its sponsors for the existing range of UK nuclear power generation systems. The symposium will focus on the materials and structural integrity challenges facing the introduction of new nuclear plant in the UK while also addressing life extension for the existing plant, which is needed to operate while new nuclear build is progressed. In addition the current status of codes and methodologies and the developments required to meet the identified materials and structural integrity challenges will be explored. Discussion sessions in the symposium will focus on the extent to which the challenges are being met and what needs to be done to under pin new plant for long term operation. These are questions that FESI members consider important in the continuing development of engineering structural integrity best practice across industry.
