29th International Conference on Fracture and Structural Integrity (IGF29)

Vicenza, Italy and Online

February 15–17, 2027

In memorium—Leslie Bank-Sills, ESIS President (2010–2020)

The 29th International Conference on Fracture and Structural Integrity (IGF29) is taking place on February 15–17 2027 in the Faculty of Engineering, University of Vicenza. The conference has been organised by Italian Group of Fracture (IGF), in cooperation with the Dipartimento di Tecnica e Gestione dei Sistemi Industriali (University of Padua).

IGF29 promises a vibrant community where passion for research meets real-world engineering—whether you are a seasoned professor, an industry expert, a young researcher or a PhD student just starting out, this conference is the perfect place to share your work on fracture, fatigue and structural health in a friendly, collaborative atmosphere.

IGF29 is dedicated to the memory of Leslie Bank-Sills, ESIS President 2010–2020. Given her contributions to fracture mechanics research, her leadership within ESIS, and her friendship with the Italian Group of Fracture, it has been decided to establish the ‘IGF Bank-Sills Medal’ to honour researchers who have distinguished themselves in theoretical fracture mechanics. The winner will be selected through a CV evaluation process (to submit the candidacy, send an email to gruppofrattura@gmail.com).

For further information on IGF29—such as registration details, fees, scientific programme—may be accessed via the organiser’s website.
